Well protected from the swell, Grand Case Bay is one of the most picturesque anchorages in Saint Martin, and one of Pyratz’s favorite destinations for a day trip. We especially love stopping at Petite Plage, located just in front of the Grand Case Beach Club. From the boat, the setting is very nice, with beautiful views of the beach on one side and Creole Rock on the other.
The bay is naturally sheltered, creating calm, translucent waters that are perfect for swimming and relaxing. A little further off the coast, there is a shallow area where the water becomes incredibly clear and calm, almost like a natural swimming pool with its vibrant turquoise colors. It is an ideal spot to float, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Grand Case itself is often considered the gourmet capital of the Caribbean, known for its charming waterfront restaurants, lively beach bars, and authentic Creole atmosphere. The village is easily accessible from the anchorage, allowing guests to stroll through its colorful streets, discover local fashion boutiques, and experience the vibrant yet relaxed ambiance that makes Grand Case so unique. Several bars and restaurants line the beach, making Grand Case Bay both a fun and lively stop during the day, while still keeping its authentic Caribbean charm.
