Shoal Bay is often considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean, and for good reason. It offers an incredibly long stretch of powdery white sand and vibrant turquoise waters that seem to glow under the sun. The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming or snorkeling along the reef located close to shore, where you can spot colorful tropical fish darting among the corals.
Despite its worldwide reputation, Shoal Bay has managed to keep a relaxed and authentic Caribbean atmosphere. A few charming beach bars and restaurants dot the shoreline, where you can enjoy fresh seafood, rum punches, and true laid-back island vibes without any pretension.
That said, the reef surrounding Shoal Bay makes access more difficult by boat. Ideal weather conditions are required to get there safely, so we only go when the sea is calm and kind.
