Taking a ferry from St. Martin to Anguilla: the most popular option

Public ferry departing from Marigot Bay in St Martin

This is the most frequently used ferry route: a public ferry used both by residents and tourists alike.

The public ferry between St Martin and Anguilla departs from Marigot Bay on the French side of St. Martin and arrives at Blowing Point Ferry Terminal in Anguilla.

The public ferry operates several times a day, with departures approximately every 45 minutes.

The ferry journey lasts approximately 25 minutes, with a one-way ticket costing $30 for adults and children over 12. Payment, in cash, will be collected by a crew member once the ferry is underway.

Private companies

There are also private companies that offer a kind of taxi-boat service to arrive in Anguilla from St Martin, departing from Simpson Bay or Marigot Bay.

Is it possible to fly from St. Martin to Anguilla?

Anguilla has its own airport, Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA), so yes, it is possible to fly from St. Martin to Anguilla, though it’s not the most common or popular way to travel between the two islands.

At the moment of writing this post, the airline flying from St Martin to Anguilla is Anguilla Air Services, which offers both scheduled and private flights between St Martin and Anguilla, and also flights to other destinations like Antigua, Puerto Rico, and St Barths.

Due to the short distance, flights between St Martin and Anguilla last around 8 to 10 minutes, but might not be as cost-effective as other transport methods.
